Want to delve deeper into your Yoga practice? Would you like to learn more about Meditation and Pranayama?

Coming soon in 2024 a series of workshops with a focus on breath and concentration practices. There will still be mindful movement and even a short relaxation in most sessions. It is all still Yoga!

Sessions will be Tuesdays 5.30pm at The Yoga Collab, where there is all the props including chairs, bolsters, blocks and cushions.

Bookings are essential as each series of workshops will only run if there are a minimum of 5 bookings.

Tuesday 2 January is a one off workshop to set a sankalpa or heartfelt intention for 2024. You will practice Energy Block Release 3 to Awaken the Heart and set an intention. The deep relaxation process will include your sankalpa to help embody your heartfelt intention for 2024.

The second workshop on Tuesday 9 January is a FREE Dru Yoga & Meditation taster session. If you have always been curious about Dru Yoga and want to give it a try this is your opportunity. Suitable for those new or returning to yoga.

There are three essences or subtle powers you migh

There are three essences or subtle powers you might hear me refer to in classes.

Prana or life force is the one I reference the most. Prana is present in respiration, both on a whole-body level as well as on a cellular level. Prana is also present in awareness, so any time we draw awareness to a physical region or idea, we are filling it with Prana.

Tejas is the radiant essence of the fire element. It encompasses the qualities of light, splendor, and the innate intelligence in our body. If the sun embodies the element of fire, then the glowing light from the sun is tejas. At the end of the Salutation to the Sun Sequence we often add the tejas mudra or hand gesture.

The third subtle power is Ojas or vitality. Like honey, which is the nectar of pollen collected by bees, Ojas is the fine nectar of all tissues of the body. Once all the tissues have been nourished, this resulting ambrosia is added to our “vitality savings account.”

One last week to participate in our vitality challenge with a sequence to unlock the the abundant energy in our bodies and access these subtle powers.
