Dru Yoga is a gentle yet powerful form of yoga that works with the whole person—not only the physical body. Its flowing sequences bring together movement, breath, focused awareness, positive intention and deep relaxation.
What makes Dru different is its understanding of the koshas: the interconnected layers of our being, from the physical body and vital energy through to our thoughts, emotions, inner wisdom and deeper sense of peace. Rather than simply moving the body into postures, Dru practices are designed to create change across all these layers.
Dru Yoga also works with the chakras, the body’s subtle energy centres. Particular movements, breathing practices, visualisations, affirmations and moments of stillness may be woven into a class to help release blocked or stagnant energy and restore greater balance.
People often begin Dru Yoga to improve their strength, flexibility or balance, but discover something deeper—a calmer nervous system, clearer mind, lighter mood and stronger connection with themselves. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced. Dru meets you where you are and invites you to experience yoga from the inside out.
